Oh my, my dear friend!

It's been such an awful summer in terms of weather. Au contraire, the summer has been the best summer yet! It's fucking epic. (Excuse my language)

I went to Myrtle Beach in the beginning of July with a good friend. I'm fine to admit to you that I did like him for awhile, but as I began a new relationship and spent time with my friend - later dubbed my "best friend" - it was better that we were close friends.

On the first night in Myrtle Beach was the night of the Fourth of July. I've never experienced this celebration before, and let me just say it was so amazing! I mean, a few days before I watched Canada's Day fire works with a mass crowd of strangers on a hill where I thought it was really nice, short and sweet (considering I had to washroom really badly! Heh) to Americans going crazy on the long strip of beach. Fireworks everywhere! An abundant display on both docks on either side. The moon over the ocean. The cool refreshing breeze, yet a warm temperature. The crash of the waves from the Atlantic Ocean. Fireworks above you, in front of you, below you, beside you. It was absolutely fantastic! I just couldn't get enough of it. I digested all of it and try to keep it fresh in memory as my best friend and I walked along barefoot on the sand in awe.

In other news, I went to two or three pool parties. Awesome, of course. Two or three barbecues. Other parties. Awesome, of course. Spent a lot of time chilling with the Crew. We've given a name to the people we hang out with everyday. A variety of group of friends joined together. It's been amazing; I think I speak for all of us when I say 'I wish this would never end'. And I hope it won't - fingers crossed, knock on wood... In fact, the partying hasn't ended just yet. Tomorrow I'll be heading up to a cottage with the Crew. It's the perfect getaway from parents and stress. I'm fucking psyched. Everything just has been so stressful. I think I speak for everyone when I say that as well.

The Crew is also supposed to have a hotel party after we come back. The week has just been so jam packed, or rather the summer, I haven't been able to make time to spend time with some other friends that I haven't seen in awhile before they go off to school. It's tough keeping in touch with people. It's tough being around people. Life is tough. Hahaha... You know the works. And you know as a group of friends, a lot of couples have formed. Mine for instance. It's been great! I'm happy for every relationship. It's exciting, you know?

Anyway, I think I'll stop here. I think you understand my point when I say I'm having a pretty amazing summer. Balanced out. Fun and stress. I'll have to get some shut eye and do some laundry. Cottage tomorrow!!
